Easter

First thing this morning while Kimball (first one up) and the rest of the kids looked for their hidden Easter Baskets and a present, Kent and Kimberly tried to get a few extra Z's (Kent had gotten home late the night before from a hardcore overnight hike to Weaver's Needle with the Young Men and was spent, but watched a movie with Kimberly before going to sleep). Only Kenzly and Kierra needed a little help to find their presents (hidden in the piano bench and the playroom kitchen cupboard).

Before church at 10am, we had time for a nice breakfast of homemade waffles with cinnamon cream syrup, strawberries, bacon and orange juice. Yum!

After church Karsten Kent and Kimberly all took naps then we watched "The Man From Snowy River" and finally had an Easter Egg Hunt in the front yard with 74 eggs to find - some with money totaling $20 - not sure if we found them all....).  The weather was beautiful and breezy. We had a

Kenzly & Kierra (both got music CD's and Kenz a journal)

Kimball was up early and was the first to find ALL the Easter Baskets. He also got the first book in the Fablehaven series.

Karsten got a Thomas the Train book with 5 train magnets you move along the pages and tracks.

Getting ready for the Easter Egg Hunt...ready to find 74 eggs!

YES!!!!

The count....Kimball got the most egg! He was so focused on finding eggs he was annoyed when he had to stop and get his picture taken (several times...)

Kenzly is growing up fast!

Valentine's Day Pedicures

For Valentine's Day, Kent gave the girls flowers and gift certificate's to get pedicures.  That Saturday Kent and Kimball had been gone most of the day fishing with the Young Men.  Kimberly had been holding Karsten most of the day, who was sick and had a fever.  After the boys got home, we decided to use our certificates.
Kenzly and Kierra got polka-dots on their toenails and Kimberly had flowers painted on her toes.  It was fun to let someone else pamper us and nice to get some of the crusty layers of callused skin off.  Our "Arizona" feet need a little extra TLC from the year-round flip-flops.
What a treat!

Sunglasses.....Anyone?

Kimberly was looking for some new sunglasses while shopping with the girls and Karsten.  She would put a pair on, turn to Karsten and ask "how do these look"?  Every time he would shake his head forward and get the cutest smirk on his face like he was saying "uh, huh, oh yea, those are awesome mom"!  It was so cute :)

This Saturday had been pretty boring for Kierra.  Kimberly had been gone most of the day at choir rehearsal and Kent was down and out with the flu.  To get out of the house and give the kids something to do, Kimberly took them to McDonald's to eat and play and then went to JC Penney close by for a short shopping trip.  Kenzly found the camera and started a spontaneous photo shoot while Kimberly was looking for sunglasses.  Everyone had a great time.

It has been said that weddings and funerals bring families together and thankfully this was the former of the two!

Kristi & Kolbein Anderson, John & Shara Garrett (and kids) and Susan all stayed with us for the weekend.

At the wedding we enjoyed visiting with the Welker side of the family and learned we have cousins (Phillips) who live close to us and enjoy eating at El Rico's Restaurant (one of mine and Ken't favorite's).
The marriage ceremony was performed by the Bishop of their ward who just happened to be Steve Young's younger brother (Tom).  It was a beautiful wedding in the Rada backyard.
